 ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Saurabh Sawhney is a practising ophthalmologist, working in New Delhi, India. He is 43 years of age.

He loves writing Science Fiction, and makes a specific distinction between that genre, and its more popular cousin, fantasy writing. It is his belief that Sci-Fi must contain an element of science, and not just be an ordinary story in an imaginary/future world.

He is fond of the short story as a medium, as it gives more importance to the central story idea, compared to any other format. He now has eighteen short stories hovering in space, including five really short ones. All are available exclusively as e-books.

He has also written a technical book on astigmatism analysis, and intends to write a little more on the same lines, but his priority remains fiction. He is currently working on his first novel, but promises to keep the short stories coming.

His favorite authors are Ayn Rand, Asimov, Crichton, Douglas Adams, Arthur Clarke, Lee Child, PG Wodehouse, ES Gardner, among many others.

He is interested in many other things, with general science, maths and logic, and talking to computers holding the top spots.
